Interac is committed to supporting our employees, their families, and the hundreds of thousands of Canadians that have been directly impacted by Hurricane Fiona.
This crisis has left numerous people without power, displaced from their homes, and has also impacted the ability for people to access funds, which is a critical service during trying times. As Interac, we understand our responsibility to do what we can to support Canadians on the east coast while restoration efforts are underway.
To lend our support, we have donated to the Red Cross Hurricane Fiona in Canada Appeal, which will support the range of emergency services the Red Cross is delivering to those in need including interim housing, clothing, food, and other essential supplies.
We have also encouraged our employees to join us in donating to the campaign. The Government of Canada has established a donation-matching program with the Canadian Red Cross to support those impacted by the storm and will match donations Canadians and corporations make for the next 30 days with the possibility of extension.
