Your questions, answered.
Does it cost more to tap on GO Transit with Interac Debit?
No. You’ll pay the same adult fare as you would with a PRESTO card. The system calculates your fare based on where you tap on and off plus you still qualify for the GO Loyalty Discount Program if you consistently use the same payment method to tap. Learn more
How can I prove I paid?
When prompted, simply tap the fare inspector’s device with your Interac debit card and you’re all set. If you paid with your phone, you’ll need to present your Interac debit card in your digital wallet for verification. Rest assured, fare inspectors and the transit agency will not have access to any of your personal or account information during this process, only whether you’ve paid for your trip.
Does Interac Debit work with Ontario’s One Fare Program?
Yes. When you use Interac Debit to transfer between participating transit agencies, and are within your transfer window, you will be charged only one fare. Just make sure to tap on and off with the same card or device, or your transfer won’t be recognized. Learn more about Ontario’s One Fare
