Call for Youth Council Member Application
We’re thrilled to announce the continuation of our Interac Youth Council in 2026! The Youth Council serves as an advisory/advocacy body to consult, advise and inform Interac on strategic initiatives to ensure that our products and digital solutions are catering to the diverse needs of Canada’s future leaders. By joining the Interac Youth Council, you can help empower Canadians and pioneer Canada’s next innovation.
You’ll be representing and advocating for the voices of Canadian youth, so that we can take Canada’s fintech ecosystem to the next level.
Eligibility
- Are you between the ages of 16-24?
- Are you eager to make an impact?
- Are you looking to collaborate with like-minded peers and contribute to the growth of Canada’s leading fintech?

The deadline to apply for the Interac Youth Council is August 22, 2025. Our council runs from September 2025 to August 2026.
What’s expected from an Interac Youth Council Member?
- Expect 4-6 meetings per year focused on strategic topics you can contribute to.
- Embrace a hybrid model where you can contribute to discussions, projects, and meetings both in-person and virtually.
- Develop your leadership skills by taking ownership of projects, leading working groups and representing the Youth Council.
- Work alongside a dynamic team of talented individuals who share your passion for driving positive change.
- Be part of a welcoming and inclusive environment that values your unique perspectives and experiences and encourages open dialogue, collaboration, and creativity.
- Hone your skills in areas such as project management, strategic planning, public speaking and teamwork through practical experience and targeted training.
- Ability to have your voice heard and collaborate on initiatives that can directly influence the future direction of Interac and shape the Canadian digital economy.
