As one team, we are committed to building an equitable, accessible, and prosperous community for all Canadians.&nbsp; We prioritize employee and, where appropriate, stakeholder led insights to guide meaningful and measurable action that is values aligned, sustainable, and outcome based.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>We are committed to ensuring compliance with the accessibility requirements contained in the <em>Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act<\/em> (AODA) and <em>Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation<\/em> (IASR) by:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>identifying and removing barriers to accessibility;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>providing equal opportunities to access <em>our<\/em> products and services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>creating accommodations to employees with disabilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>enabling equitable opportunities for career advancement;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>providing information to persons with disabilities in an accessible format; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>meeting these commitments in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-approach-to-accessibility\">Our Approach to Accessibility<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-training\">Training<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>We provide mandatory accessibility training to new employees and contract workers when they join the organization as well as recurring annual training for existing employees and contract workers. This training:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>covers the requirements of the AODA and the Ontario <em>Human Rights Code<\/em> as it relates to persons with disabilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>informs employees, both new and existing, of the opportunities and accommodations available to persons with disabilities; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>is tracked for completion across the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-information-and-communications\">Information and Communications<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>We ensure that its published content is accessible to persons with disabilities and meets the requirements of the AODA through:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a feedback process to receive and respond to feedback from persons with disabilities; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a process to provide or arrange for the provision of accessible formats of published content to persons with disabilities in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-accessible-websites-and-web-content\">Accessible Websites and Web Content<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>We collaborate with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.levelaccess.com\/a\/interac-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Level Access<\/a>, adigital accessibility solutions provider, to ensure our internet websites and web content conform, where applicable, with the World Wide Web Consortium Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (\u201cWCAG\u201d) 2.0 Level AA. Our practices apply to:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>new web content that is developed using industry best practices and is independently assessed for conformance; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>existing web content that undergoes periodic review to ensure ongoing conformance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-employment\">Employment<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>We are committed to being an employer of choice in Ontario by creating a workplace that prevents and removes barriers to accessibility. To achieve this commitment and comply with the requirements of the AODA we:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>advise applicants during the recruitment process of the availability, upon request, of accommodation for persons with disabilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>advise applicants when making offers of employment of our policies for accommodating persons with disabilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>inform current and new employees, as soon as practicable, of our Accessibility Policy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide or arrange for the provision of accessible formats and communication supports, upon request, necessary for persons with disabilities to perform their job;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide individualized workplace emergency response information to persons with disabilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop and document individual accommodation plans, provided that we are aware of the need for such accommodation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop and document a return to work process for employees who have been absent from work due to a disability;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>develop a process to factor the accessibility needs of an employee, including any applicable individual accommodation plans, when conducting performance reviews; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>factor in an employee\u2019s accessibility needs, including any applicable individual accommodation plans, when redeploying employees with disabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-multi-year-accessibility-plan\">Our Multi-Year Accessibility Plan<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-champion-accessibility-amp-best-practices\">Champion Accessibility &amp; Best Practices<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>We have established a dedicated accessibility oversight function to work closely with our Diversity &amp; Inclusion office to ensure that we are meeting our accessibility obligations and targets as well as to identify further opportunities to remove barriers both internally and with our stakeholders. We will also continue to collaborate with Level Access to embed accessibility best practices throughout our organization.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-engage-enable-and-empower\">Engage, Enable, and Empower<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>We continue to prioritize employee and, where appropriate, stakeholder led insights to guide meaningful and measurable action that is values aligned, sustainable, and outcome based.\u202f\u202f<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-activate-accessibility-awareness-and-knowledge\">Activate Accessibility Awareness and Knowledge<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>In addition to our existing robust training program, we will develop targeted accessibility learning sessions tailored to specific product and focus areas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-monitor-report-and-continuously-improve\">Monitor, Report, and Continuously Improve<\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"grid-container\"><div class=\"grid-x\">\n<p>We have implemented a continuous improvement program in support of our commitment to remove barriers.
