The latest brand campaign wants to change that by reintroducing <em>Interac<\/em> as the digital authentication and payments technology company behind products like <em>Interac\u00ae <\/em>Debit and <em>Interac <\/em>e-Transfer\u00ae, and a suite of identity verification products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u2018<em>We Geek Out\u2019<\/em> campaign builds on the <em>Interac<\/em> InLife\u2122 brand platform and shows how <em>Interac<\/em> helps simplify the complicated so Canadians can get more out of life. It is anchored by a lighthearted spot featuring the hero, a fictional <em>Interac <\/em>employee, who \u201cgeeks out\u201d over how the company\u2019s products really work when she encounters payment moments at a restaurant. These moments include paying the bill with <em>Interac <\/em>Debit, splitting the bill with <em>Interac <\/em>e-Transfer, and extending parking in an app with <em>Interac <\/em>Debit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"INTERAC\u00ae | We Geek Out\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/At_uJh551HQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt Interac, our teams are proud of how our products can play a role in helping to simplify the lives of Canadians,\u201d said Matt Houghton, Director of Digital and Integrated Marketing at Interac. \u201cBy bringing that enthusiasm into the campaign, we\u2019re able to reintroduce the brand in a way that underscores the importance of <em>Interac<\/em> products and explores how we are expanding beyond payments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea from the fictional spot is also brought to the real world with a hidden camera stunt. Shot in Montreal, an actor was captured explaining how he would be paying using highly-technical jargon in retail locations across the city. The extension, captured in English and French, was created for TikTok and Instagram Reels, and will run later in May following the launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign is led by creative agency partner Zulu Alpha Kilo Inc. with media buying partner Media Experts. Executions include TV, online video, social, display and a creator program. This campaign also marks the introduction of a new sonic logo for the brand, part of a unique and distinctive sonic ecosystem. These were developed by Sixieme Son.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wain Choi, Executive Creative Director, Zulu Alpha Kilo, said: \u201cSimple ideas are always the best ideas, and we were inspired by how <em>Interac<\/em> products help simplify transactional moments, contrasted against the technology required to make that happen.
