Gatherings <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interac.ca\/content\/inside-interac\/keeping-employees-connected-through-art-and-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">turned virtual<\/a>, local retailers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interac.ca\/content\/business\/video-the-value-of-contactless-and-secure-payments-in-a-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">revamped their business models<\/a> to stay afloat, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interac.ca\/content\/business\/interac-debit-data-signs-of-covid-19-recovery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">record number of Canadians<\/a> found new ways to transact online using <em>Interac <\/em>products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we begin to see the light at the end of the pandemic, Interac is proud to be partnering with Metro Grocery this summer to bring communities together by hosting more than 20<em> free <\/em>retro drive-in movie experiences across Ontario. Events are free, but attendees have the option of donating onsite using <em>Interac<\/em> Debit contactless payments, with all proceeds supporting local charities and food banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Supporting small businesses<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interac is committed to supporting small business recovery by encouraging Canadians to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CRZqoHoLykY\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">#supportlocal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.interac.ca\/content\/business\/our-continued-commitment-to-supporting-small-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">working with industry partners<\/a> to ensure they have the tools and means to succeed. At each local Drive-In, we\u2019re hosting an InLife Marketplace where small businesses in these communities can showcase their products and services. This is an opportunity to treat yourself while also supporting small business recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To date, some of the small businesses featured include a mother and daughter duo who launched their business during the pandemic, local farmers selling their fresh fruit and vegetables, and a skincare connoisseur that turned a hobby into a career.
