In today\u2019s current climate, having the ability to transfer funds to family and friend overseas in a way that\u2019s reliable, secure and cost-effective is very important.<\/p>\n<p>Interac worked collaboratively with Mastercard to develop a game-changing international remittance solution for financial institutions and their customers. <a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.interac.ca\/mastercard-and-interac-collaborate-to-give-canadians-a-fast-simple-and-secure-way-to-send-money-globally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Transfer by Mastercard and Interac<\/a> leverages both Mastercard Send and the <em>Interac<\/em> e-Transfer platform to allow Canadians to send money to bank accounts in other countries:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Trusted and Secure:<\/strong> The solution leverages the trust and reliability of the <em>Interac<\/em> e-Transfer and Mastercard brands. Funds are transferred using established banking procedures, backed by industry-leading fraud mitigation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Convenient and Familiar:<\/strong> Users will be able to access the solution through online and mobile banking in the same way they already use <em>Interac<\/em> e-Transfer for domestic money transfers. Once the user selects the recipient\u2019s destination and banking information, the request is sent to the recipient and funds are directly sent to the recipient\u2019s bank account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbc.ca\/en\/about-us\/news\/news-room\/press-releases\/2020\/20200507-La-BNC-offre-maintenant-Virement-International-par-Interac-et-Mastercard.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Bank is officially the first bank to offer the service to their personal banking clients<\/a>. Since May 7, National Bank clients have been able to make transfers to 19 Eurozone countries, with other countries to be added gradually.
