Interac Debit now available to Stripe\u2019s Canadian retail customers for online purchases, broadening payment choice in e-commerce<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

TORONTO,<\/strong> February 10, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 Interac Corp. (Interac), a leading Canadian payments provider today announced the integration of Interac Debit as an e-commerce payment option to Stripe customers. Stripe can now offer its customers Interac Debit for online and in-app purchases through participating digital wallets. Previously, Stripe customers could only offer Interac Debit for in-person payments at physical stores. With this new integration, more businesses can now give Canadians the option to pay with their own money at online checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SKIP, Canada\u2019s homegrown food delivery service has signed up to offer its customers Interac Debit for in-app wallet purchases through Stripe. SKIP is enhancing convenience and security for its customers, making it easier than ever for Canadians to pay with their own money when ordering food online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stripe will leverage FIS Everlink\u2019s Indirect Connector services to connect merchants to the Interac IMN architecture, enabling in-store and in-app debit payments. Merchants will also benefit from FIS Everlink\u2019s resilient, secure, and fully integrated payment processing platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interac Debit is available to any Canadian merchant using Stripe to power their online shopping transactions and will allow customers who bank with participating <\/a>financial institutions convenient and secure payments through their digital wallets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
