2025 was a year like no other, filled with twists, turns and everything in between. Global pressures rippled across Canada, and vulnerable communities were among those most affected. At Interac, we recognized the need to step up. We know that by giving people the tools, knowledge and resources they need to build resilience, we can help them thrive in a digital world. Because for us, investing in our community isn\u2019t just something we do; it\u2019s who we are<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, we invested over $800,000 in community-led organizations and supported more than 30 Canadian charities from coast to coast. We strengthened our commitment to financial confidence by teaming up with community partners to address emerging issues and respond to the evolving needs of communities who face inequitable barriers to financial wellbeing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Advancing financial confidence and empowerment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, we hosted the second annual Building Financial Confidence Summit<\/a> alongside ACCES Employment and TD Bank Group, bringing together nearly 200 individuals who are new to Canada. The summit provided practical tools and resources to help newcomers take control of their finances and build a strong foundation for their future. More than 80 Interac employees volunteered their time for speed mentoring sessions, sharing real-world insights and offering guidance on navigating the Canadian workplace. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our commitment to financial empowerment continued as we expanded our partnership with Conscious Economics to introduce three new modules to Mindfulness & Money<\/a>, a free online program that highlights the connection between personal well-being and financial decision-making. These modules reached over 94,000 Canadians, covering topics such as combatting fraud, aligning financial goals and reclaiming power after economic abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
