Mario brings deep understanding of Interac governance to his new role.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining Interac, Mario held progressively senior roles in finance. He spent nearly 16 years with Meridian Credit Union, most recently holding a dual role of Vice President, Risk Management &amp; Compliance for Meridian and Chief Risk Officer for motusbank, an OSFI-regulated digital bank that is wholly owned by Meridian.\u202f&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mario has an Honors Bachelor of Accounting degree from Brock University and the CPA, CA designation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mario holds several board positions, including Member of the Board of Directors of Welland Hydro-Electric System Corporation and its related companies since 2006 and currently Board Chair and Audit Committee Chair; and Member of the Audit Committee of the Niagara Catholic District School Board since 2017.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Interac Corp. is pleased to announce that Mario Falvo has assumed the role of Chief Financial &amp; Risk Officer.&nbsp;&nbsp; Since joining Interac Corp. in 2021, Mario has led our risk management and internal audit functions, and has focused on Interac responsibilities to the Bank of Canada as a designated Prominent Payment System.
