What Interac Association is doing to protect you

Monitoring and detection - The Association's members have fraud detection systems in place to track suspicious activity and prevent debit card fraud. For more information see Interac Security.

Education programs - The Association plays an active role in raising public awareness about the importance of debit card protection, through education programs such as Protect your PIN, Protect your PIN pad and educational tool kits.

Working with law enforcement - The Association works with law enforcement to arm members with the information and education they need to identify suspected fraud criminals, and prevent fraud at their locations. For more information see Project Protect.

The move to chip technology - Interac Association is upgrading its technology to Chip - a tested and proven technology that makes an already safe electronic payment system even more secure.
