INTERAC® Online now available at Indigo Books & Music Inc.

November 5, 2009 (Toronto, ON) – The INTERAC Online service, which allows Internet users to pay for goods or services directly from their bank accounts, continues to build momentum with the addition of Indigo Books & Music to its growing list of national and independent merchants offering the service.

"Indigo, Canada's largest book retailer, will begin offering the INTERAC Online payment option through its online division which features books, toys, music and DVDs.

INTERAC Online is secure and easy-to-use because it is integrated with the customer's existing and trusted online bank account. For customers, this means transactions are authenticated within their online banking websites, not the merchant websites, so personal financial information, such as a card number, is never disclosed to the merchant or a third party. For merchants, the real-time good funds model means the merchant is guaranteed payment.

Moneris Solutions, Canada's largest payment processor, is the merchant acquirer of record for Indigo Music & Books. INTERAC Online is currently available on www.chapters.indigo.ca.
