Now, your customers can simply PAY IN A FLASHTM by holding their card up to an Interac Flash enabled terminal to complete a transaction.

By accepting Interac Flash, you will be able to provide your customers with a faster and more convenient check-out experience while reducing your costs of handling cash. As an enhancement of Interac Debit, Interac Flash is an economical payment solution and offers the same benefits of secure and irrefutable transactions.

How does Interac Flash work?

Your customer’s Interac chip debit card will continue to carry out debit transactions as it does today, but now the functionality of the card has been enhanced. Cardholders will have the ability to carry out contactless transactions that do not require the card to be inserted into the terminal or a PIN to be entered.

The customer simply holds the debit card in front of the card reader and the purchase will automatically be debited from the customer's account. As an added layer of security, or if they have exceeded their daily spend limit, occasionally a customer may be asked to insert their card and enter their PIN to complete the transaction.
